Essentially, the Commander conducts meetings, oversees committee of officers, ensures post is full filling duties/requirements. Additionally, oversees expenditures pertaining to post as well as overseeing House/Executive committees. "Among American Legion members, there is no rank or prejudice, only purpose. A veteran is a veteran. And the purpose of veterans in The American Legion is to strengthen the United States of America through programs, services, compassion and actions that have proven vital, timeless and life-changing for over a century." to teach first and foremost, teach Americanism/ Patriotism as well as supporting all Veterans, members, VA hospitals & Vets in nursing homes. Other programs the Auxillary has a hand in, include cancer research and scholarships for our youth. Last but, not least supporting charities in our communities for individuals in need."

Auxillary
made up of the male/female spouses, grandmothers, mothers, sisters, and direct/adopted female descendants of members of The American Legion.
Sons
Males of all ages whose parents/grandparents served in the U.S. military & were eligible for American Legion membership.
Riders
All active members of The American Legion, The Sons of The American Legion and the American Legion Auxillary. Legion Rider must own/ride motorcyles/maintain active membership within The American Legion Family.
